Wasp Solitaire

Wasp Solitaire is a variation of Scorpion Solitaire that is played almost identically, with the only difference being that any card can be placed on an empty tableau slot, unlike in Scorpion where only a King can be placed.

How to Play Wasp Solitaire

Setup

Wasp Solitaire setup is identical to Scorpion Solitaire setup:

• There are 7 tableau piles.
• Each tableau pile is dealt 7 cards. The first 3 cards in each of the first four tableau piles are dealt face down, and the remaining cards are dealt face up.
• The remaining cards are placed in the stock pile.

Objective

The goal of Wasp Solitaire is to build four sequences down in suit within the tableau, each running from King to Ace.

Rules

• You can move any face-up card, along with all the cards covering it, as a unit.
• Tableau piles are built down in suit (e.g., K♣️, Q♣️, J♣️, 10♣️, etc.).
• If a face-down card becomes the top card of a pile during play, it is turned face up.
• Empty tableau spaces can be filled with any card or sequence of cards.
• When all possible moves have been made, click on the stock pile to deal the 3 remaining cards face up to the three leftmost piles.
• When a full sequence is built, it should be moved to one of the free foundation slots.

Variations

• Scorpion Solitaire - same as Wasp Solitaire but only king can be placed on an empty tableau slot. Slightly harder than Wasp.
• Easy Scorpion Solitaire - simpler version of Scorpion Solitaire.
