How to Play Seahaven Towers

Rules

Seahaven Towers rules are similar to classic FreeCell rules with a few differences(highlighted):

  • Tableau piles are built down in the same suit(e.g., a 9♠ can be placed on a 10♠).
  • Only the top card from each tableau can be moved at a time(with an exception for our online version, see below).
  • Only King can be placed in an empty tableau spot.
  • You can temporarily move cards to free cells to unlock more cards. Each free cell can hold at most one card.
  • Cards in the free cells can be moved to the foundation piles or back to the tableau piles.
  • Foundations are built up in the same suit from Ace to King.

Even though rules state that only one card can be moved at a time, as a shortcut our game allows moving a sequence of cards if there are enough empty free cells or tableau cells, as it would be possible to achieve the same result by moving cards one by one to free cells and back to tableau.

Objective

The objective of FreeCell Solitaire is to move all cards to the four foundation piles, building each pile up in suit from Ace to King.

Setup

Seahaven Towers setup is similar to classic FreeCell with few differences:

  • 50 cards are dealt into 10 tableaus, 5 cards into each.
  • The remaining 2 cards are dealt to the first four free cells, 1 card each.
  • Like in classic FreeCell there are 4 foundation cells and 4 free cells.
