Scorpion Solitaire

Scorpion Solitaire is a variation of the classic Solitaire game, played similarly to Spider Solitaire. The goal is to build four sequences within the tableau in the same suit, from King to Ace.

How to Play Scorpion Solitaire

Setup

Scorpion Solitaire is played with a standard deck of cards and is set up as follows:

• There are 7 tableau piles.
• Each tableau pile is dealt 7 cards. The first 3 cards in each of the first four tableau piles are dealt face down, and the remaining cards are dealt face up.
• The remaining cards are placed in the stock pile.

Objective

The objective of Scorpion Solitaire is to build four sequences down in suit within the tableau, each running from King to Ace.

Rules

• You can move any face-up card, along with all the cards covering it, as a unit.
• Tableau piles are built down in suit (e.g., K♣️, Q♣️, J♣️, 10♣️, etc.).
• If a face-down card becomes the top card of a pile during play, it is turned face up.
• Empty tableau spaces can be filled with a King or a group of cards headed by a King.
• When all possible moves have been made, click on the stock pile to deal the 3 remaining cards face up to the three leftmost piles.
• When a full sequence is built, it should be moved to one of the free foundation slots.

Variations

• Wasp Solitaire - same as Scorpion but any card can be placed on an empty tableau slot. Slightly easier than Scorpion.
• Easy Scorpion Solitaire - simpler version with only 3 columns having hidden cards.
