Golf (Strict) Solitaire

Golf Strict is a more challenging variation of Golf Solitaire where no cards can be placed on a King, making it much harder to win. Once a King is placed on the foundation, your only option is to draw a card from the stock.

How to Play Golf Solitaire

Rules

The rules are the same as in standard Golf Solitaire, with one additional rule:

• Nothing may be placed on a King.
• Only the top card of tableau pile is playable. You can only move one card at a time.
• Cards cannot be moved to or within the tableau; tableau cards can only be moved to the foundation.
• Cards can be moved to the foundation if they are one rank higher or lower than the top card of the foundation, regardless of suit.
• Card wrapping is not allowed - you can’t place an Ace on a King or a King on an Ace.
• If no moves are possible, draw a card from the stock pile and place it on the foundation.

Winning

The game is won when all cards have been moved from the tableau to the foundation, regardless of any remaining cards in the stock.

Setup

Golf Strict setup is identical to original Golf Solitaire:

• The game uses a single standard 52-card deck.
• 35 cards are dealt face up into 7 tableau piles, with 5 cards in each pile.
• There is only one foundation pile, dealt one card face up at the beginning of the game.
• The remaining 16 cards form the stock pile, which is placed face down.
