Objective
In Aces Up Solitaire, discard all cards to the foundation pile, leaving only one ace in each tableau pile. Aces are the lowest rank and should stay in the tableau.
Setup
At the start:
- There are 4 tableau piles. At the beginning, 1 card is dealt face up to each tableau pile.
- The remaining 48 cards are added to the stock pile.
- There is only one foundation.
Rules
- Only the top card from each tableau can be moved at a time.
- When there are at least two playable cards of the same suit in the tableau, discard all but the highest-ranked cards to the foundation. For example, if there are 2♥️, 6♥️, and 10♥️, you can remove both the 2♥️ and 6♥️. You can’t remove the 10♥️ since there must be at least two open cards of the same suit to make a move.
- Ace is considered the highest-ranked card, so a King is of lower rank than an Ace.
- You can’t discard an Ace to the foundation.
- Any card can be placed in an empty tableau slot.
- Four cards are dealt at a time from the stock, 1 card to each tableau.
